Slow and Steady Weight Loss
The Kankakee Valley Newspaper reported that a local Curves workout facility condcuted a study that showed…
"Fast, quick and extreme may be the optimal adjectives to describe the way most women want to lose weight, but the results of an unscientific study by a local fitness center especially for women shows that slow and steady may prove the smarter method."
"At the beginning of the study, the women weighed between 136.6 and 314.6 pounds. Seventy percent of the participants completed the study, and the average weight lost was 2.9 pounds of body fat. (The average scale weight lost was 2.64 pounds.) Additionally, participants averaged 4.5 inches lost when measured at her bicep, bust line, waistline, hips, abdomen and thighs. One participant lost 9 pounds and another lost more than 6 inches."
